The STIHL MSA 161 T Cordless Chainsaw is the next generation in cordless top handle chainsaws, designed for professional use. This lightweight chainsaw delivers a 40% higher chain speed and a 15% increase in motor performance compared to its predecessor, the MSA 160 T. The low-profile ¼ P chain reduces chain chatter for a smoother and more precise finish, resulting in superior cuts and reduced fatigue for the operator.
The MSA 161 T comes with a trigger side-lock button for added safety, a large throttle interlock lever, and a carrying ring for attaching the saw for aerial use. This cordless saw is quiet in operation, meaning ear defenders are not needed during use, making it comfortable and convenient for a variety of tasks.
Equipped with STIHL's state-of-the-art technologies, this chainsaw ensures an easy and safe operation. The side chain tensioner enables simple and safe chain tensioning without contact with the sharp saw chain. The QuickStop Super Chain Brake provides an additional braking system for extra safety, stopping the chain in seconds whenever the user lets go of the rear handle or if there is sufficiently strong kickback. The STIHL electric motor is energy-efficient, lightweight, compact, and does not require servicing, contributing to the overall lightweight and low maintenance requirements of the saw.
With a run time of up to 42 minutes with the AP 200 battery (or up to 62 minutes with the AP 300 S battery), this cordless chainsaw is an excellent addition to your professional equipment. It is available in two bar lengths of 10" and 12".
