Description

The STIHL BTA 140 Cordless Earth Auger is a powerful professional battery-powered earth auger designed for demanding work in landscaping, horticulture, agriculture and construction. Part of the STIHL AP System, this high-performance tool drills holes up to 300mm in diameter with ease, making it ideal for installing fence posts, planting trees, creating drainage holes and preparing small foundations.

Powered by a high-efficiency EC brushless motor, the BTA 140 delivers smooth, low-vibration performance with three selectable operating modes for complete control. Low Gear offers maximum control and reduced kickback, High Gear increases drilling speed in demanding conditions, while Reverse Gear quickly frees jammed drill bits. For added safety, the STIHL QuickStop system automatically stops the auger if excessive twisting is detected, helping to protect both the operator and the machine. As a cordless tool, it also provides quiet, emission-free operation and is suitable for use in noise-sensitive environments.
