The STIHL BG 86 Petrol Blower is a high-performance, handheld leaf blower, designed to clear large areas of leaves and grass with ease. This blower is especially suitable for use in extremely dusty areas, thanks to the innovative HD2 filter. The BG 86 features a round nozzle and flat nozzle, a 2-MIX engine, and a locking throttle lever with a stop button.

With its reduced-emission engine technology, the BG 86’s 2-stroke engine uses a stratified charge to create a fuel-free layer of air between the burned charge in the combustion chamber and the fresh charge in the crankcase. This reduces the amount of fuel lost during the charge cycle, resulting in more power, up to 20% lower fuel consumption than regular 2-stroke engines, and significantly reduced exhaust emissions.

Equipped with a manual fuel pump (Purger), a small fuel pump delivers fuel to the carburettor at the touch of a button, reducing the number of starting strokes required following extended breaks in operations. The STIHL ElastoStart feature reduces the shock caused by the engine compression during starting, minimising strain on the user’s joints and muscles.

The HD2 filter, made from fine polyethylene filter material, effectively removes even the finest dust. It is also oil and water repellant, making it very easy to clean. A throttle lock with a built-in stop switch ensures that the machine switches off immediately after a brief press of a button, and reactivates the ignition automatically once at a standstill, ensuring it’s always ready to start.

To ensure a more comfortable and safer operation, STIHL has developed an effective anti-vibration system that significantly reduces vibrations at the handles by dampening the oscillations from the machine’s engine.
